Move Me


Dalian 2007 MA Photogrpahy cohort student Julia Horbaschk has had a picture chosen for 'MoveMe' a project by Islington Council to promote cycling in London.
The project will exhibit at Rainbird Fine Art Gallery (near Farringdon tube station) from 26 February until 1 March and there will also be a 'commerative book of postcards'.

Bolton Cohort MA Photography Exhibition Opens


2007 graduating students had their graduation exhibition at the prestigious Richard Goodall Gallery in the Northern Quarter Manchester.
The gallery is one of the most important independent photography galleries in the UK hosting shows by many international photographers.

2007 Graduates Success

Since finishing the course just three weeks ago a number of MA Photography students have found a place for the final project work. Gemma Thorpe has been invited as a collaborator on a book called 'Watercube', with Ethel Baraona Pohl. The book focuses on the sustainable development of Watercube, the National Swimming Centre for the Olympic Games and will be published in Spanish and English across Europe in March. Sara Gouveia is having her work exhibited in Almada, Portugal in March. Grace Gelder is publishing her final story in the Dutch magazine "One World". Boris Austin has published in the Gothenburg times, Sweden's 2nd largest paper as well as in Dalian's peninsula paper and Sharron Lovell had a picture published in newsweek over the new year and has three other pictures published in a National Geographic publication "Inside China".

Student Project Chosen for Award Exhibition

Images from Adam Dean's final project in Mongolia has been selected for the Luis Valtueña International Humanitarian Photography Award Exhibition and will be touring Spain and Europe over the next two years. The Awards Ceremony and exhibition opening will take place in Naves del Barranco, Calle Arjona nº 28, 41001 Sevilla, on the 14th of January 2008.

Faked Tiger Images Causes Stir in China

Two images of a "functionally extinct" tiger have been causing a lot press interest in China over the last month. It looks now like the images were faked in photoshop in order to claim a reward offered by the local government for pictures of a wild tiger. ...more
